Delegations
It is a mechanism that allows delegating the provision or use of an e-service to another participant. The delegation concerns only the administrative function and does not include any agreements that the participant enters into with commercial partners for the technical provision or use of the APIs.
In testing and production environments, delegations are available only for entities qualified as Public Administrations in the IPA Catalog. In the certification environment, the functionality is instead open to all participants indiscriminately.
Stages of a delegation
- Offering availability: Party A offers their availability to receive delegations for provision or use.
- Forwarding the delegation: Party B creates and sends a delegation request for the provision or use of a specific e-service to Party A.
- Acceptance or rejection of the delegation: Party A accepts the delegation (or rejects it, providing a reason).
- Day-to-day management: Party A manages the administrative activities related to the provision or use of an e-service on behalf of Party B; Party B loses the ability to manage the administrative activities for the object delegated.
- Revocation of the delegation: At any time, Party B can revoke the delegation, regaining control of the objects that were delegated.
