Recognition of the opportunities to holders of EYCA

CGN is part of the EYCA circuit — the European Youth Cards Association — which allows young Europeans aged between 18 and 30, who hold a card belonging to the circuit, to access discounts from participating Operators in their own country and in other European countries.
Operators participating in the Programme are therefore required to extend the opportunities they offer for CGN — in English — also to young European EYCA cardholders, according to the methods described below.

Operators operating through physical locations

For Operators participating in the Programme by recognizing opportunities in physical stores, branches, or ticket offices, the validation model described on the page Physical presence of the CGN Beneficiary remains unchanged. This validation takes place by recognizing the EYCA logo shown on the card presented by the young Beneficiary concerned.
Operators participating in the CGN Programme must therefore instruct their staff who interact directly with customers to recognize EYCA cards from other European countries.

Operators operating online

Operators participating in the Programme are required to recognize the same opportunities also for EYCA cardholders.
Operators operating online and using the static code model, the static code list model, or the landing page model can enable recognition of the opportunity within the EYCA circuit. In this case, the opportunity will also be published on the EYCA portal in English.

Focus on code list bucket

Operators who have chosen the static code list method must provide the Department with a new list of codes for each opportunity extended to EYCA cardholders, completed using the attached template:
bucket_EYCA_format
The list, containing at least 10,000 codes, must be different from the one created and uploaded to the Carta Giovani Nazionale Operators Portal and must be sent to the following email address: cartagiovaninazionale@governo.it.
The lists corresponding to each individual opportunity will then be uploaded to the EYCA portal.

Focus on landing page

Operators who have chosen the landing page method must enter on the Portal a dedicated URL for the opportunity, specifically intended for the EYCA Portal. On the EYCA Portal, it is not possible to enter the Referer to guarantee access to the webpage where the purchase is made.

Online methods not compatible with EYCA

Operators who have chosen methods that are not compatible with the EYCA circuit may also express their interest in joining the EYCA circuit through the opportunity creation/editing page.
If the Operator expresses the intention to apply the same online method also within the EYCA circuit, the Operator will be contacted by the Department to jointly define a possible recognition method made available by EYCA and limited to that scope.
