IO functions available to institutions

Services can be integrated in the app through the use of one or more enabling technologies, i.e. the functions of the app and its integration with other platforms, managed by PagoPA S.p.A. or third parties.

Integrated functions

Institutions can use the app functions listed in detail on the following pages to:
  • publicize services on IO;
  • provide information;
  • obtain a payment;
  • authenticate citizens with certainty.
  • give citizens the option to sign (incoming) documents**.**

Integration with other enabling platforms

Some examples of integration with other enabling platforms managed by PagoPA S.p.A. or third parties are:
Citizens can access IO using SPID, the Public Digital Identity System to access the online services of the Public Administration and participating private operators.
Citizens can access IO using their Electronic Identity Card (CIE), that is the access key, guaranteed by the State and issued by the Ministry of the Interior, which allows citizens to be securely authenticated for all online services for institutions and public administrations that permit their use.
With IO, citizens can receive payment notifications and pay them with pagoPA thanks to the integration with the pagoPA platform, as well as save one or more payment methods.
With IO, citizens can affix a digital signature in the app on a document generated by the institution.
With IO, citizens can receive a courtesy notice, read notified documents and, if required, proceed with the payment directly in-app with SEND (SErvizio Notifiche Digitali - Digital Notification Service).
Thanks to the integration with ANPR, citizens can receive reminders and updates regarding vital record procedures, request and receive vital record certificates, request changes in residency, etc.
With IO, citizens can indicate their own general digital domicile in the INAD (National Index of Digital Domiciles)/ANPR (National Registry of the Resident Population) registry.
With IO, citizens can activate and make use of subsidies and credits granted by the institutions for initiatives concerning welfare and support for grocery shopping.
