The Italian version constitutes the only official and legally binding version of the document. The English-language version of this document is provided solely as a courtesy to facilitate consultation by users. In the event of any discrepancies, interpretive differences, or inconsistencies between the Italian-language version and any translated version, the Italian text alone shall prevail and be deemed authoritative.

🎬 Getting started

This manual is intended for public institutions and public service operators who want to integrate the Sign with IO service to request citizens to sign documents and contracts with the IO app.

The purpose of this document is to:

indicate the functions and their benefits;
illustrate the integration methods for the institutes;
explain how to prepare a document and request the signature;
provide instructions on how to check the status of a signature and download the signed documents.

**Testing phase**

This manual concerns the Sign with IO APIs for the testing phase: the information it contains is subject to change.

Only after signing the **testing agreement** will it be possible to test the service by generating the test **API keys** directly from the [Reserved Area](https://selfcare.pagopa.it/auth/login). If the institution is already integrated with the IO app, they cannot use the API keys they already have, but must generate specific API keys for the product.
